How long is the mountain coaster ride?

The Lost Mine Mountain Coaster is the longest mountain coaster ride in the area, with a ride that lasts between 10 and 18 minutes depending on your speed. The track features 4 up sections and 4 down sections for quadruple the fun!

How fast does the mountain coaster go?

Each cart allows the rider to control their own speed, so you can choose between a thrilling high speed adventure of up to 30 miles per hour or a more tame ride through the beauty of the Smokies and the immersive themed environment of the Lost Mine.

What are the height and weight and age requirements for the mountain coaster?

Riders must be at least 38” tall and 3 years old to ride the mountain coaster, and riders between 38” and 54” inches must ride with an adult. The maximum weight per cart is 375 pounds in dry conditions and 330 pounds in wet or icy conditions.

Are there other restrictions for riding the mountain coaster?

Guests with neck or back injuries, heart conditions, or who are pregnant may not ride. Casts that interfere with safe operation are not permitted on the ride. Guests must have control over their upper and lower extremities to ride the mountain coaster. In the unlikely event of an evacuation, guests must be able to walk to exit the ride area. How many riders can sit in a cart?

Each cart or sled can hold up to 2 riders with a combined maximum weight of 375 pounds (330 pounds during wet or icy conditions).

Is the mountain coaster safe? Can someone bump my cart on the ride?

Tailgating and bumping are strictly prohibited, and carts are to remain at least 80 feet apart on the track. Our mountain coaster uses Intelligent Distance Control Assist Systems (IDCAS) to help prevent carts from getting too close, making us one of the safest mountain coasters in the world.

Can I ride the mountain coaster at night?

Some would say that our coaster is best experienced at night! We offer the largest lighting package in the area, highlighting the natural beauty of the mountains and the magic of the Lost Mine theming to make for a one-of-a- kind experience!

Is the mountain coaster open in the rain?

The mountain coaster is open year round, even in the rain. The coaster will close when lightning is present in the immediate area. In the event of a prolonged closure, guests will be offered rainchecks to return at a later time or date.

Where is Lost Mine Mountain Coaster and Mini-Golf?

We are the only mountain coaster located in downtown Pigeon Forge, at 2509 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Located between Christmas Tree Lane and Wears Vally Road in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

Can I play mini golf and ride the mountain coaster in one visit?

Yes! You can do both attractions and save with a combo ticket. Plan to spend one to two hours at the attraction depending on the line and your pace of play. Buy tickets in person or online at lostmine.com.

Is the Lost Mine Mini Golf Course ADA compliant?

Our course features 9 specially designed holes built to ADA standards, providing smooth navigation and ensuring everyone can enjoy the game to its fullest. Holes 1 through 8 and hole 18 are ADA Compliant and can be completed twice, providing a full 18-round adventure that accommodates various abilities. We also provide ADA compliant golf clubs upon request.
